We all know that when it comes time to buy or sell a home trying to decide WHICH real estate agent to hire is as difficult as deciding should you use a real estate agent at all. So first let me tell you a little about myself.

I am not a native of Georgia although my husband and I moved here over 28 years ago (ouch! I am dating myself). I am originally (very originally) from Michigan. However starting very early on, my family moved several times throughout my childhood. I've lived in Massachusetts, Iowa, Kansas and Georgia. And like many of you, my heart is here in the South.

Since our arrival in Atlanta, we have called several areas home: Clarkston, Dunwoody, Lawrenceville and ultimately Suwanee. We have only owned two home and have lived in our current home for over 22 years! Strange huh? Many clients ask me if we move a lot since I look at so many houses and  they are always very surprised to find out we have been in the same home for so long.

But with the raising of a family we made the conscious decision to stay put and raise our daughter and son in one place and they both attended the Gwinnett County schools. When they started school, the ONLY elementary school in the area was Suwanee Elementary.  They continued on to Lanier Middle School. And I always laugh because for most of us our old alamar doesn't get demolished until we are old enough to tell tales to our kids. But so much for progress as the old Lanier Middle School has beeb torn down and  is now replaced with a beautiful new high school, Lanier High School opening fall of 2010.  They finished out their education with North Gwinnett High School; and, our son if finishing up college at West Georgia on a baseball scholarship.

Our life has been busy. It has had its ups and downs; and, peaks and valleys just like eveyone else. So I try to blend my own personal journey to my professional work as a Realtor.
